Welcome to "Luminary," the Society of Women Trial Lawyers' dedicated series that shines a light on the trailblazers and trendsetters within our ranks. Each month, we discover the journeys, successes, and insights of a different member, illuminating the profound impact they make in the legal sphere and beyond. Here, we celebrate not just the professional achievements of our peers but also the personal stories that inspire their relentless pursuit of justice and equity.
This platform is more than a showcase—it's a source of empowerment, learning, and connection, fostering a community where the collective wisdom of women trial lawyers is honored and shared. Join us in honoring our luminaries, their diverse experiences, and their contributions to the law and society.

It's no secret that the legal field is still heavily male-dominated. I always get excited when I see law school enrollment data, because more and more women are entering the profession and entering plaintiff's practice every year. Without the women in the profession—whether support staff, paralegals, IT, bookkeeping, or attorneys—cases don't get moved. You can't talk to your clients the way you want to, and nothing else happens without women.
